Lisa Baldini

Fundraising Officer

Lisa spent over 20 years in academia, teaching Environmental Science and Geography to university students. Passionate about helping people understand and connect with the natural world, she moved into the charity sector in 2025 as a Fundraising Officer for Durham Wildlife Trust and quickly discovered a love for fundraising. She is excited to bring those skills to Stomping Grounds NE, helping secure the funding needed to support the organisation’s life-changing work with children, young people and families across the North East.

A lifelong lover of the outdoors, Lisa enjoys spending time in nature with her partner and two teenage children. Whether hillwalking in the Lake District, exploring nature reserves and National Trust sites, or heading out on mountain bike adventures, she values the sense of wellbeing and connection that outdoor experiences can bring. She also volunteers with local tree-planting and litter-picking groups, helping to care for local places so that current and future generations can enjoy them. At home, she enjoys nurturing her ‘rewilded’ garden and watching the birds, insects and other wildlife that have made it their home.

Lisa brings environmental expertise, research experience and fundraising knowledge to her role as Fundraising Officer. She is particularly inspired by Stomping Grounds’ commitment to ensuring that all children, young people and families can access and benefit from time in nature, regardless of the barriers they may face.
