I grew up in a small, close-knit community where nature, shared responsibility, and spending time outdoors were a fundamental part of daily life. From a young age, I was involved in local farm work and spent countless hours exploring the outdoors with family and friends.
My commitment to supporting others began early. At 18, I spent a year volunteering with an organisation supporting recently arrived immigrant families who were navigating both the challenges of relocation and personal loss. I then spent a decade mentoring and guiding young people through outdoor trips and seminars.
Professionally, after completing my M.A. in Sociology and B.A. in Behavioural Studies, I built a career in Human Resources and People Operations. I bring a strong understanding of organisational dynamics, culture, and governance, alongside a lifelong passion for creating inclusive environments where everyone—especially those who might feel on the margins—feels valued and supported.
Having seen the transformative power of Forest School and nature-based learning first-hand as a parent, I am deeply aligned with Stomping Grounds’ mission. I am excited to bring my professional skills in HR and people strategy to support the board, ensuring the organisation continues to enable children and families from all backgrounds to thrive.
