Trauma Informed Practice Training
A day long course for professionals and practitioners working with trauma experienced young people.
Make an enquiryWhat is it?
Led by our team of specialist practitioners, this training course is essential CPD for any one working in schools, residential homes or youth provision.
Based on the Government’s working definition of Trauma Informed Practice for health and care workers, the course defines what trauma is and looks at the 6 key principles of trauma-informed practice – safety, trust, choice, collaboration, empowerment and cultural consideration – and explores how they can be applied in your setting.
This course combines knowledge and skills with the real world people work in. Participants will learn about the models that underpin trauma-informed practice and develop skills and strategies to support the trauma-experienced young people they work with.
