About Us
Stomping Grounds North East are a charity who work to connect communities to the outdoors. We are a Forest School Association recognised provider, delivering in Northumberland, Gateshead, Durham and Newcastle. We’re proud of our strong reputation for supporting those with least access to find their place in the world through outdoor adventure.

We report annually on the impact of our work including information on equity, diversity and inclusion, with in depth case studies.
Theory of Change
Our Theory of Change demonstrates how the activities we run enable us to achieve our short and long term outcomes.
Meet the Team
We are a diverse and experienced team, many with lived experience of some of the barriers that people face in accessing the outdoors.
“When I’m here I feel so calm. I feel like I’m in paradise. It just feels like home. I don’t get told off here. I don’t get things wrong here.”
